Between the Brad Paisley [2] H2O World Tour and May’s Nashville flood, country music has been waterlogged this summer.

But the liquid is still flowing in the genre. Brad’s weekend lake show set a record, Luke Bryan [3] rode a gusher to the top of the chart, and yes, there’s more flood-recovery news, thanks in part to Chuck Wicks [4] and Grand Ole Opry star Jeannie Seely [5].

Here’s a look at the way water continues to stream into country’s current landscape:

• Brad’s AquaPalooza show at Lake Travis near Austin on Saturday attracted an estimated 65,000-70,000 fans, most of whom watched the afternoon show from boats on the water. That’s nearly double the size of last year’s AquaPalooza record. Also performing during the day were Lee Brice [6], Joanna Smith and Jerrod Niemann [7], whose debut album Judge Jerrod And The Hung Jury is in stores today.

• Luke popped up at No. 1 this week on the national country singles charts with his water-soaked hit “Rain Is A Good Thing.” It’s his second straight No. 1, following “Do I.”

• Chuck has booked a July 31 performance in Santa Monica as the Los Angeles chapter of the Recording Academy throws a Grammy Block Party to raise money for Nashville flood relief. He shares the bill with singer-songwriter AkaCassidy, pop singer Charice, R&B performer Raphael Saadiq and Latin group La Santa Cecilia. Musical director for the day is Rickey Minor, the leader of the Tonight Show band.

• Accountants have totalled up the proceeds from Tim McGraw [8] and Faith Hill [9]’s Nashville Rising benefit in June. Some $2.2 million came in through the concert, which featured a long list of talent, including Carrie Underwood [10], LeAnn Rimes [11], Taylor Swift [12], Blake Shelton [13] and Miranda Lambert [14].

• The Opry’s Jeannie Seely is eligible for a buyout from the government after her home was severely damaged in the flood. But she told The Tennessean she had turned down the assistance because she’s already well on her way to rebuilding the property, conveniently located close to the Grand Ole Opry House, which is also under flood-related reconstruction. She did receive $29,900 from the federal government after the catastrophe and intends to use her own funds to do the rest. Jeannie performs on the Opry Tuesday at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium along with Chris Young [15], Mark Chesnutt [16], Montgomery Gentry [17] and the Charlie Daniels Band [18].
