Kenny Chesney didn’t do a major tour in 2010, but it was just a one-summer vacation.
He’s mapping out another big concert schedule for 2011 and it includes nine stadium dates that pair him with Zac Brown Band, according to the Associated Press.
The first of the announced dates is March 19 when they play Tampa.
“I really miss certain things about the road, like the first note of every night and the energy that’s exchanged between the stage and the crowd,” Kenny told the AP. “I’m really fired up to feel that. That moment is what drives me and what I look forward to.”
Kenny typically loads up his shows with lots of hit-making acts, and the 2011 version is no different. In addition to Zac and crew, Billy Currington will play the stadium shows and Uncle Kracker will be on the bill for eight of them.
More info about arena and amphitheater concerts will be unveiled at a later date.
In the meantime, look for Kenny to perform Wednesday on the 44th annual Country Music Association Awards, where he and Dave Matthews are Musical Event of the Year nominees for “I’m Alive.” Others performing on the CMAs include Jason Aldean, Gwyneth Paltrow, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum and Taylor Swift.
