Alan Jackson Sells Out Down Under

Alan Jackson launched his first tour of Australia last Friday by playing to a sold-out crowd at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.  Judging from the crowd response, you’d think he toured Down Under all the time — the fans sang along with every song.

On Sunday Alan headlined CMC Rocks the Hunter Festival in Hunter Valley. Tonight he’s in Sydney, with a three night stand in Brisbane later in the week.  All six shows sold out in minutes when tickets went on sale last fall.

Alan has scored nearly 40 Top 10 hits in Australia, with 15 of them going all the way to No. 1!  His biggest songs “down under” include “Good Time,” “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” “Little Bitty” and “I’ll Go On Loving You” – each spent a month at the top of the Australian charts.

We zoomed in on the Melbourne Arena photo, but here’s the full-size picture, plus another one of Alan in concert!
