We told you it was coming. A duet with Rascal Flatts and teen pop sensation Justin Bieber. And now, there’s a video to go along with the track, “That Should Be Me,” which can be found on Justin’s Never Say Never – The Remixes album.
Now before you go and say Justin Bieber is not country, remember this is just an interesting collaboration between two superstar acts who happen to be from different genres. Rascal Flatts has never been afraid to step outside the country genre, collaborating with Jamie Foxx, Natasha Bedingfield, and most recently, Lionel Richie. Other artists have done cross-genre collaborations too. Maroon 5 had Lady Antebellum appear on a track on their new album and both Reba and Jason Aldean have worked with Kelly Clarkson to produce huge country hits. Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles had a big hit with Bon Jovi on “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” and who can forget Tim McGraw and rapper Nelly’s “Over And Over” from a few years ago?
So what do you think of the video? Take a look and let us know! Is it just us or do Joe Don and Justin share the same hairstyle?
And by the way, we’ve got a brand new Rascal Flatts video coming later this week, so stay tuned!
