Miranda Lambert was the big winner at Sunday’s ACM Awards, taking home four ACMs, including Top Female Vocalist. With the excitement of the ACMs behind her, she tells PEOPLE she is now free to turn her attention to finishing plans her upcoming May wedding to Blake Shelton.
”Obviously, it was a huge, amazing night,” Miranda said of the ACMs to PEOPLE. “Now I can go ‘thank you’ and plan the next thing, which is getting ready for the wedding. I’m glad I can focus on it from now until then because it’s a huge thing to become a wife.”
But it looks like Miranda’s wedding might not be the only big thing on her plate after all. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Miranda is developing a TV series for ABC Family. The hour-long drama will be based on Miranda’s childhood and revolve around a Texas family whose parents are investigators and the children aide in solving criminal cases.
The series is still in the early stages, but Miranda will serve as executive producer along with her mother, Beverly, manager Marion Kraft and Kapital Entertainment’s Aaron Kaplan. Memphis Beat’s Scott Kaufer will write the show and also serve as an executive producer.
