The new season of Championship Bull Riding (CBR) on GAC kicks off Tuesday May 3 at 9 p.m. Eastern, with 26 consecutive weeks of non-stop, heart-pounding action. The highly rated show can be seen three times weekly and will culminate in late October with the crowning of the 2011 CBR World Champion.
This promises to be the most exciting season in CBR history, with the most talented bull riders and bovine athletes in the country going head to head in events across America. This year’s Cinch CBR Tour broadcast season will feature a totally fresh look, including new graphics and music, along with hot new features and in-show elements. The show is again hosted by GAC’s own Suzanne Alexander, bull riding icon and CBR President Tuff Hedeman, TV host Jeff Medders and a new member to the team, rodeo and bull riding commentator Butch Knowles. “2011 is going to be an outstanding year of bull riding at CBR,” says Tuff Hedeman. “There will be a lot of familiar names fans have grown to love, but also a new crop of up and coming riders and bulls. The production of the show is better than ever before and I am sure the fans at home will enjoy the new features.”
The show will air in primetime each week beginning May 3 and runs through October. Each Tuesday a new show will air at 9 p.m. Eastern and will be rebroadcast on Wednesdays at 1 a.m. Eastern and Saturday mornings at 7 a.m. Eastern.
“The audience for bull riding and country music has always been a great fit,” says Suzanne Gordon, VP Programming Great American Country. “We continue to be pleased with the growth in this exciting sport.”
