The Band Perry got down and dirty with the dogs before their show with Tim McGraw Friday in Tampa. The sibling trio hosted a charity dog wash on behalf of Purina Dog Chow with all proceeds benefitting the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. The dog wash was part of Purina Dog Chow’s ‘Dare Us Back’ campaign which the band helped launch earlier this year.

Dog Chow dared consumers to try their new, better tasting dog food formula and asked for double dates in return. One of the three grand prize winners chosen by Dog Chow was the charity dog wash, submitted by Donnie Genton of Memphis, Indiana.

The other two winners were Susan Clamrock of Concord, NC, who, after losing her 22-year-old son during his deployment to Iraq, dared Dog Chow to make a donation to Carolina Patriot Rovers, which helps fund the training of service dogs to be given to veterans suffering from psychological trauma. The other winner was Lauren Doak of Houston, who dared the company to create a dog-friendly family fun walk to benefit The American Legion and BARC.

There aren’t any dogs in their latest video, but there is a canine reference in TBP’s ”You Lie,” when Kimberly sings “You lie like a coon dog basking in the sunshine on my porch.” Watch the video for ”You Lie” HERE!
