Alan Jackson has relased his latest single, “Long Way To Go,” to radio. It is the first single from the joint venture between Alan’s label, Alan’s Country Recrods (ACR) and EMI Record Nashvillle. The single officially ships to radio this week, but the buzz around it is already strong. The song is a lighthearted track, just in time for summer.

“Seems like every time you turn around lately there’s just something heavy going on in the world, so I felt like singing something that was kind of light and fun,” Alan said of the song. “I hope some people like it.”

Radio certainly likes it. “This week country music got a much-needed reboot when new Alan Jackson music arrived,” said Buzz Jackson of KIIM in Tucson, AZ. “It’s exactly the type of song we’ve been waiting for from AJ!” said Erik Johnson on KXKT in Omaha, NE.

Alan wrote the song, which is the first single from his upcoming studio record, to be released this fall. Alan made a special appearance at this year’s CMA Music Festival to sing his hit song with Zac Brown Band, “As She’s Walking Away.” Check out pictures from Alan and ZBB’s performance HERE.
