Not only have American Idol winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina gained fame and record deals – next week they’ll enjoy icing on the cake of their already-successful country careers by making their Grand Ole Opry debuts during CMA Music Festival week.

On Friday, June 10, Scotty and Alaina will perform on the Opry stage alongside Randy Travis and Billy Ray Cyrus. They’ll also join the celebrity line-up of players at the City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge on Saturday, June 11 at Nashville’s Greer Stadium.

In other Scotty news, Billboard magazine reports that he earned the Hot 100′s Hot Shot Debut with his victory ballad, “I Love You This Big,” at No. 11. The song, which Scotty sang on AI’s May 24 and May 25 finale-week episodes, starts at No. 3 on Digital Songs (171,000). And as Billboard previously reported, “I Love You This Big” logs the highest debut on Billboard‘s Country Songs chart (No. 32) for a brand new artist’s first single since the survey adopted BDS data the week of Jan. 20, 1990.

Lauren isn’t doing too bad herself. Her debut single, “Like My Mother Does,” charged onto the Hot 100 at No. 20. The song also debuted at No. 11 on Digital Songs (121,000). On the Billboard Country Songs chart, “Like My Mother Does” is at No. 49.
