Aaron Lewis, lead singer of Staind.

Aaron Lewis has announced the dates and lineup for his second annual It Takes A Community Foundation benefit concert. The concert will take place on Friday, August 19 and Saturday, August 20 at The Pines Theater at Look Park in Northampton, MA. Friday’s country show will feature Rhett Akins, Frank Hannon of Tesla and Alexa Carter and on Saturday, rock will take over with Tesla, Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour, Lo-Pro and Otan Vargas performing. Aaron will perform both days.

The It Takes A Community Foundation was founded by Aaron and his wife Vanessa. The charity’s aim is to revive rural communities through the greater New England area. The organization works with local leaders and organizations to raise funds and support community groups. Aaron created the charity after his local school district closed three of five elementary schools due to budget cuts. He hit the road, playing shows to raise money and opened the R.H. Conwell Education Center with is foundation funding everything from furniture and supplies to teachers’ salaries.

“My family has been directly affected by school closures in our rural area due to state budget cuts,” Aaron said. “We have seen firsthand the necessity for smaller communities to have a voice and to determine their own local needs and priorities. Our foundation strives to do just that–to build a collective of local community members and empower them to take charge of their own community’s future.”

Single-day tickets range from $45-$78 and VIP meet & greet packages are also available at www.dysfunctionalstaind.com. All proceeds from the show will go directly to It Takes A Community.
