Kenny Chesney took Colorado’s mountainous Red Rocks Amphitheatre to the coast last weekend when his Goin’ Coastal Tour rolled into town for a three-night stand. Kenny was joined by Joe Walsh of The Eagles and “You and Tequila” duet partner Grace Potter on the last night of the show. Not even pouring rain could slow down Kenny’s show. “The three nights at Red Rocks were some of the most magical experiences on tour I can ever remember,” Kenny said. “I told the crowd, ‘I wish I could stay in this moment all summer long.’ From the intensity of the first night, to the driving rain storm the next when nobody left the venue, to the final night with Grace Potter and Joe Walsh, it made me remember all over again why we all love music and care so much.”
Kenny brought Joe Walsh onstage for a rousing cover of The Eagles “Life in the Fast Lane” as well as Joe’s “Rocky Mountain Way,” “Life’s Been Good.” For “All Night Long,” opening acts Uncle Kracker and Grace Potter joined Kenny and Joe onstage. Grace also sang “You and Tequila” with Kenny during the show.
The three sold-out shows were Kenny’s first at Red Rocks and also the first time in five years that he’s performed at any venue more than twice in a tour.
