Rascal Flatts Finds “Easy” Solution With Sara Evans

Rascal Flatts had a dilemma when it came to how to perform their latest single, “Easy,” during their Flatts Fest Tour. The song is a duet with Natasha Bedingfield [watch it HERE], which left the band to decide if they wanted to have Natasha on a video screen or have a female backup singer cover the part during their show. Instead, they came up with a special treat for fans by getting their opener, Sara Evans, to come back onstage for the song every night.

“We asked her and she loves the song and was willing to stick around,” Jay DeMarcus said. “It’s hard for somebody that’s been offstage for an hour and a half to get pumped back up to come back out to do one song. So we’re very, very grateful that she decided to come out and do that with us each night. And it is one of my favorite moments of the show, to be quite honest.”

Fans can catch Rascal Flatts and Sara performing “Easy” through the end of the Flatts Fest Tour, which wraps up on September 18 in San Diego, CA. Watch Sara’s brand new video, “My Heart Can’t Tell You No,” HERE. The ending has quite the mysterious twist!
