Trace Adkins celebrated the release of his latest album, Proud To Be Here (read our review of it HERE) with a trip to the Today Show Tuesday morning. He talked briefly with Ann Curry before performing “Just Fishin’” and then returned during the Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb-hosted portion. Ann and Trace talked briefly about the fire that destroyed his home and how he and his family are recovering.
“My girls are very resilient, as most kids are,” Trace said. “They’re adjusting well, they’re very brave young ladies. I’m very proud of them.” He also joked with Ann that he and his youngest daughter, six year old Trinity, are still negotiating her payment for her appearance in his “Just Fishin’” video as her agent – his wife – drives a hard bargain.
While sitting down with Hoda and Kathie Lee, Trace shared insight into what it’s like living with six women – his wife and five daughters. “You know I have guys all the time ask me if I have some pearls of wisdom,” he said. “And I just say the more women that I surround myself with the more confused I am.”
