ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable arm of the Academy of Country Music, has announced that the October theme for its monthly ‘My Cause’ web feature is ‘Country Cares for Women.’ The web feature drives awareness of artist-supported charitable organizations and supports fundraising efforts for those charities.
ACM Lifting Lives repeated the My Cause opportunity in 2011 by asking artists to speak on camera about their favorite charities at the 2011 ACM Awards. My Cause allows ACM Lifting Lives to show the Academy’s support of country music artists and their charitable endeavors. Last year, ACM Lifting Lives gave more than $25,000 to charities through My Cause and will again make donations in addition to driving fan awareness.
This Month, My Cause: Country Cares For Women, highlights Jason Aldean’s work with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, an organization that seeks to aid in the early detection of breast cancer as well as supplementary education and research. Donations can be made to the charity using a donate link available with the video.
