Martina McBride will be joined by Pink Together, General Mills’ national breast cancer awareness campaign, on her Eleven Across America Powered by Amtrak cross-country train tour. The train tour, in support of Martina’s new album, Eleven, will travel from Los Angeles to New York City, stopping in 11 cities along the way. The train ride will end with Martina lighting the Empire State Building pink before a special private concert at the historic landmark.

Pink Together will contribute $1,000 to each local Susan G. Komen Affiliates along the tour for a total of $11,000. The donation is in addition to its $2 million national donation to the organization. For the first time, consumers will be able to choose how half of General Mills’ $2 million donation is shared between two Komen initiatives by voting at PinkTogether.com until April 14, 2012.

Martina’s current single, “I’m Gonna Love You Through It,” is the story of husband standing beside his wife while she battles breast cancer. “Breast cancer is something we’ve all been touched by in some way or another,” Martina said. “‘I’m Gonna Love You Through It’ is a song I hope will provide positivity and strength to those going through the struggle.”

Also joining Martina on the tour will be Katie Parker, who was selected as a 2011 Pink Together Survivor Ambassador for her story of courage and survival in the fight against breast cancer. Katie will blog from the tour and her posts will be available at PinkTogether.com
