South Pointe captures upper state title, paves the road to Death Valley

ROCK HILL — Friday night, the South Pointe Stallions earned their first trip to the State Title game under coach Strait Heron, beating the York Cougars 38 to15. Friday night’s game was a rematch of a game the Stallions won during the regular season.
Cougars coach Bobby Carroll, a former South Pointe coach, told WRHI earlier this week his squad could not afford to give up the big plays.

Coverage of the State Title game starts December 3 at 12 noon, kickoff is at 3 p.m. at Memorial Stadium on the campus of Clemson University. WRHM-FM 107.1 will air the game locally. Listen live at www.fm107.com
