University of South Carolina defensive end Devin Taylor will return for his senior season.
The senior from Beaufort confirmed the decision through the university Monday. Taylor said in a statement that he still has some things he’d like to accomplish at USC before going on to the next level.
He is one of a group of Gamecock players who could have been picked in the upcoming NFL draft. Two others, Alshon Jeffery and Stephon Gilmore selected to enter the draft. Taylor started all 13 games this past season, recording 42 tackles, six sacks, and eight-and-a-half tackles for loss.
With Taylor returning, it sets up an enticing tandum of he and Jadeveon Clowney rushing the quarterback from opposing ends of the defensive line.
