Scotty McCreery’s “The Trouble With Girls” has been certified Gold after selling more than 500,000 units. The single is his second consecutive Gold single after his debut single, “I Love You This Big,” also reached the milestone. His debut album, Clear As Day, was certified platinum after selling more than one million units in just three months.

“Having the first single go gold was crazy, but having the second single go gold and to see the response it is getting in our shows is incredible,” Scotty said. “I wish I could come up with better words than ‘wild’ and ‘incredible,’ because this is really special. It’s a huge honor. I’m glad the single is doing well and I’m looking forward to keep singing it on the road.”

Scotty has been performing “The Trouble With Girls” every night as a special guest on Brad Paisley’s Virtual Reality Tour and has enjoyed watching the audience respond to the song a little more each week. “As the weeks go by, we are seeing more and more fans singing it back to us,” he said. “It’s a great feeling when you see that and see the fans appreciating your work.”

The Virtual Reality Tour wraps up this weekend, but Scotty has enjoyed his time on the road with Brad and fellow special guest The Band Perry. “Brad and The Band Perry are great people,” he said. “I couldn’t think of a better tour to be on. I’m learning a lot every single night. We’re having a great time!”
