The Band Perry celebrated their latest No. 1, “All Your Life,” with a party hosted by BMI and Republic Nashville this week. Co-written by Brian and Clara Henningsen, the song not only topped the charts for multiple weeks, it was also certified Gold for sales of more than 500,000 units.
“Brian and Clara wrote a great song and we are so happy that they pitched it to us!” Kimberly Perry said. “We get such a great reaction from it live and the fact that it stayed in the #1 position for two consecutive weeks proves what a well-crafted song it is.”
The band and co-writers were introduced to the crowd gathered to help them celebrate by Clay Bradley, BMI Assistant VP of Writer/Publisher Relations, who presented with silver cups for the No. 1 achievement. The sibling trio was also presented with a Platinum plaque for their self-titled debut album by BMLG President & CEO Scott Borchetta and Republic Nashville President Jimmy Harnen.
“We are so proud of Kimberly, Reid and Neil on their second number one single and better yet a multi-week number one single,” Jimmy said. “There are just a handful of debut albums in the last three years that have sold over a million copies. Today’s celebration was an exciting moment and a great accomplishment.”
“We want to thank everyone on our team who made these honors possible for us,” Neil Perry said. “It really does take a village and we’ve got a great one!”
“A great BIG thank-you goes out to all of our fans and those who have supported us since the beginning, without them, none of this would be possible,” Reid Perry added.
