Miranda Lambert’s latest video, “Over You,” will debut on VEVO on March 1st and hit GAC March 3rd, but she teased fans with the release of behind-the-scenes footage on Tuesday. Set in the woods of Lebanon, Tennessee, Miranda is seen dressed in a Victorian-style gown shooting scenes with two young boys and a white horse as snow falls. In the footage, Miranda admits it’s the first music video she’s filmed in over a year. The video is directed by Trey Fanjoy.
Watch a sneak peek:
Miranda co-wrote “Over You” with husband Blake Shelton about the death of his brother, Richie, who died in a car accident when Blake was just fourteen. Blake elected to let Miranda record the song as he thought it would be too hard for him to sing every night. The video hits even closer to home now as the couple have recently been through the loss of Blake’s father and one of Miranda’s childhood friends.
“I’m kind of nervous to see what’s going to happen knowing it’s the end of day and that it’s actually okay to sort of get into the music and realize what this song’s about,” she said just before filming the last scene of the video which takes place in a cemetery.
