The local side of the 2012 political season kicked off today as Rock Hill businessman Gary Williams officially announced his candidacy for York County Council. 
Williams is challenging Rock Hill optometrist and council chairman Britt Blackwell for the county’s district six seat.

Williams is the president of student loan organization Williams and Fudge.
The GOP primary is set for June 12th.
