The chairman of the York County Council is seeking a second term representing District Six. Doctor Britt Blackwell says voters need to, “keep a true conservative serving in this seat to represent the taxpayers of York County.”

Andrew Kiel | WRHI.comBlackwell says York County has not been a part of those regional alliance discussions in the past. As for his second term, Blackwell says he wants to continue the foundation that’s already been built.

Blackwell is facing Rock Hill businessman Gary Williams in the June 12th Republican primary.
Blackwell says he does not feel the need to defend the current county council, but if he’s put on the defensive it gives him an opportunity to brag.
