Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl” Debuts At No. 1

Carrie Underwood’s brand new single, “Good Girl,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Country Songs chart this week according to Nielsen SoundScan. After releasing the highly anticipated track early last Friday, it only took three days for it to become the top-selling song.

“Good Girl” is the lead single from Carrie’s upcoming album, set to be released May 1st. Written by Carrie, Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley, the song was also the most added at radio this week. Carrie debuted the song at a Sony Music party in Nashville last week during Country Radio Seminar then performed the song acoustically at an Oscar party in Beverly Hills which was captured by a fan.

Since releasing her debut album, Some Hearts, in 2005, Carrie has sold more than 14 million albums. She’s recorded 14 No. 1 songs, six of which she co-wrote, and is the first country artist in  history to achieve 10 No. 1 singles from their first two albums. “Good Girl” is available at all digital retailers.
