A new 20-year agreement was approved this week for York to purchase water from the City of Rock Hill. York Mayor Eddie Lee.

York uses around 1.2-million gallons of water each day and recent growth in the area has added to the city’s demand.

York will build an estimated 1.5-million dollar transfer station on Shiloh Road. Lee said the City of Rock Hill will sell the water for the same price as it does to customers within city limits.
