Lauren Alaina is heading back to American Idol. She will perform her current single, “Georgia Peaches,” during the show on March 8th. Last season’s runner up, she is thrilled to be returning to the stage where her career took off.
“I think it’s gonna be such a great feeling to go back to Idol and be on the other side,” Lauren said. “It will be great to perform without the stress of the competition on my mind! I am excited to show the Idol viewers what I have been doing since last appearing on the show. It’s going to be like a homecoming.”
Lauren will be fitting in the performance on Idol in between dates on Jason Aldean’s My Kinda Party Tour. This spring, she will join Sugarland for their just-announced In The Hands of The Fans Tour on select dates. Lauren released her debut album, Wildflower, in the fall of 2011.
