SC Lt. Governor Ken Ard resigns

SC Lt. Governor Ken Ard has resigned amid the investigation of his misuse of campaign funds.  Ard released his statement regarding resignation at 10:00am this morning.  After a year-long ethics scandal, including five-month investigation by the SC Ethics Commission,  Ard  was found guilty of 92 campaign finance violations and was ordered to pay more than $60,000 in fines.

Attorney General Alan Wilson and SLED Chief Mark Keel have a news conference this afternoon.
