Trisha Yearwood’s cooking show, Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, will premiere on Food Network on Saturday, April 14 at 10:30 AM/ET. During the show, Trisha will share her favorite meals, nostalgic stories, and have visits from family and friends. Themed shows will cover everything from preparing traditional dishes, planning a baby shower, a family reunion barbecue, and tips on how to lighten up Southern recipes.

“For me, cooking is very connected to my family and friends,” Trisha said. “Every recipe on the show carries wonderful memories with my loved ones and I can’t wait to share my meals, stories and family photos with Food Network viewers.”

“Trisha’s best known as a music legend, but her talents don’t stop there,” Bob Tuschman, General Manager and Senior Vice President Programming of Food Network said. “She’s a passionate and talented cook, whose down-to-earth style, winning recipes, and southern hospitality will charm and inspire viewers.”

Filmed in Nashville, the six-episode series features how-to tips and techniques dishes like Barbecued Chicken, Uncle Wilson’s Grilled Onions, Chick-less Pot Pie and Sweet and Saltines. Besides being a country music star, Trisha has released two cookbooks, both of which reached No. 1 on the New York Times best-seller list in the Advice, How-To and Miscellaneous category.
