Darius Rucker will kick off CMA Music Festival by hosting his third annual concert and celebrity golf tournament to benefit St. Jude. ‘Darius And Friends, a benefit for St. Jude presented by GAC’ will take place on Monday, June 4 and will raise funds to help St. Jude with their mission of providing the best care possible to children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases at no cost to their family.

“This has become my favorite way to start off the week of CMA Fest – golf and music for a great cause,” Darius said. “With the support of our friends at GAC, Gaylord Springs, and the Wildhorse Saloon, we’ll be able to raise even more for St. Jude. Ever since I made my first visit to the hospital I was so moved, I knew I needed to be part of it and support it in any way possible. These events allow me to honor the outstanding work of the researchers, doctors and staff at St. Jude and I’m honored to be able to help contribute to their efforts.”

With the past support of some famous friends like Rodney Atkins, Easton Corbin, Radney Foster, Randy Houser, Jamey Johnson, Justin Moore, Jerrod Niemann, Jake Owen, Kid Rock and more, Darius’ concerts have raised more than $100,000 for St. Jude. This year’s event begins early with the St. Jude Darius And Friends Golf Classic at the Gaylord Springs Golf Links in Nashville. For more information on registration and sponsorship opportunities, the St. Jude official site.

Darius has not yet announced the fellow artists who will join him for the 2012 concert, but he promises great music and good times to be had. 100 percent of ticket sales will go to St. Jude. DariusRucker.com members can purchase tickets now with sales opening to the general public on April 21. Tickets can be purchased at the Wildhorse Saloon and on www.ticketmaster.com. Performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
