A lot of country stars work at eating healthy and getting in regular workouts while they’re touring. Justin Moore isn’t one of those people. He blames his days as an athlete for his dislike of exercising.
“I wish that I was one of those guys that worked out religiously,” he said. “I’m terrible. I think I did so much of it through sports in high school that I just absolutely hated it when I got out. I’ll get on a kick where I work out for two months and then I won’t work out for a year, so I’m pretty terrible about that aspect of the road.”
Justin knows he should work harder to take care of himself out on the road. Touring can take a toll on the body with the constant traveling, performing and eating meals at catering and truck stops. But he likes fried food and beer too much to give it up.
“I tell my wife I’m in terrible shape but as long as I look like I’m in alright shape then I’m probably not gonna do anything about it,” he said. “I like to drink beer, I like chicken fried steak and I can eat gravy on anything.”
That’s not to say Justin doesn’t watch his diet at all. “You just kind of have to watch it,” he said. “Everything in moderation is okay. Just as long as you don’t get out of control, you’re pretty much alright out on the road.”
Justin’s latest single, “Til My Last Day,” was just released to the radio. The song is already getting a workout as it moves up the charts.
