One of York County’s largest industrial employers is set to be the largest industrial employer following an announcement Wednesday that Ross Stores is opening a third distribution center — this time in Rock Hill.

Faris says Ross, like other facilities recruited to York County, receive a tax benefit that he calls a win-win for both the company, the county and the taxpayer.

Ross officials say the facility will distribute merchandise to stores in 30 states across the country.
Wednesday’s announcement was praised by Governor Nikki Haley as, “another big win for South Carolina.”
