A piece of the famed Boeing 787 Dreamliner made two stops in Rock Hill Wednesday morning. Spectators joined hundreds from across the state in signing the 13-foot-tall fin that attaches to the rear of the aircraft on the statewide tour.

Gross is hauling the 13-foot-tall fin that would go on the aft of the aircraft throughout the state. Wednesday’s stops in York County included an escort from two Boeing retirees.

Gross said the piece has attracted hundreds who’ve signed the fin before it’s permanently hung in the lobby of the company’s Lowcountry facility.
