Wednesday morning, a part of Boeing’s famed 787 Dreamliner is set to make a stop in Rock Hill. A 13-foot-tall model fin of the aircraft built in North Charleston is set to make its stop in Rock Hill this morning on Dave Lyle Blvd. and later on Main Street.
In a release Tuesday from Boeing, officials say the model fin will go on a “Building Dreams” tour across South Carolina, allowing residents to connect with the aircraft as well as an opportunity for Boeing to thank the Palmetto State for what Boeing describes as an amazing level of support.
Boeing officials say if you go today, you’ll be able to sign the model and pose for pictures with the fin that was used in the April 27th rollout of the company’s new airplane series.
The fin will be viewable at the following locations:
- Downtown parking lot (corner of E. Main Street and Dave Lyle Blvd) from 10 – 11 a.m.
- Target parking lot in Manchester Village Shopping District (1900 Springsteen Road) from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
