LCSO Says Two Men Fatally Shot Each Other

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has identified the second fatality victim in an incident in which it says two people with very lengthy criminal histories shot and killed each other.  The shooting happened late Wednesday night on Old Blackmon Lane.  A news release says that when deputies arrived at the scene, they found 39-year-old Stephen Lamont Westbrook in the driveway of a residence.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  Inside the home, deputies found 25-year-old Mardrickus Javon Belk in the living room floor.  Belk was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, where he was pronounced dead.  The sheriff’s office says what it’s learned about the investigation is that Westbrook came to the residence to rob someone there of illegal narcotics.  That’s when deputies say Westbrook and Belk began shooting at each other, ultimately killing one another.
