Just outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico, researchers are set to build a ghost town of sorts — all based on the City of Rock Hill.
The Associated Press is reporting that New Mexico company CITE Development announced Tuesday it would construct the 15-square-mile city with new and old buildings, highways and houses.
The Rock Hill model is designed to test large-scale intelligent traffic systems and state-of-the-art wireless networks down to self-flushing toilets.
Researchers say the point of the town is to allow researchers to test the new systems without impacting everyday life.
