York County tourism leader takes West Coast position

The executive director of the Rock Hill York County Convention and Visitors Bureau is leaving to take a job in the northwestern part of the country.

The CVB’s Board of Commissioners issued a statement late this morning that said the group is accepting Bennish Brown’s resignation with regrets.

Brown was recently selected as the President and CEO of the Tacoma Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau in Washington State.

Board Chairman Gene Roper says the announcement is a surprise to him.
