Kenny Chesney now has two dozen No. 1 songs. His latest single, “Come Over,” became his 24th No. 1 when it topped the charts this week after only 11 weeks at radio. The track was certified gold last week for sales of more than 500,000.
Kenny got the news of his latest No. 1 during another big weekend on the Brothers of the Sun Tour with Tim McGraw . The tour stopped at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday. “This has been, over the years, an incredible place for us to play music,” Kenny told the crowd. “Thank you guys for having us back in this wonderful building tonight!”
On Sunday, the tour headed to Cleveland for a show at Brown Stadium. “Whenever Cleveland is on the summer schedule, it’s this moment I look forward to right here, being able to sing this song in this town,” Kenny said right before launching into “Anything But Mine.” Kenny also paid tribute to a late local radio personality, Chuck Collier, and introduced his guitarist Kenny Greenberg, a Cleveland native.
The Brothers of the Sun Tour heads south this weekend. Kenny and Tim will stop first at the Superdome in New Orleans and then head to Houston for a show on Saturday at Reliant Stadium.
