Miranda Lambert‘s official website (via Deadline.com) reports NBC has bought a light drama executive produced by Miranda, based on her life.
Miranda’s parents — Richard Lee “Rick” Lambert, a retired police officer, and Beverly “Bev” June Lambert — ran a successful private detective agency in Lindale, Texas while raising Miranda and her younger brother, Luke. Miranda has often spoken in interviews about how that shaped her childhood.
Chad Hodge is set to write the project. Aaron Kaplan of Kapital Entertainment, Hodge and Miranda are executive producing with her manager, Marion Kraft. Bev Lambert will serve as a consultant on the TV project.
Miranda’s website says her husband Blake Shelton‘s relationship with NBC (home of The Voice) played a role in her show landing on the network.
