Tim McGraw wrapped up his HomeFront program in Boston August 24-25, capping off a summer-long campaign awarding mortgage-free homes to veterans at each Brothers of the Sun Tour stop with the support of Chase, Operation Homefront and ACM Lifting Lives. At summer’s end, Tim was able to help 25 deserving families.
Tim has a long history of supporting the military and veterans. Through the program, Tim was not only able to award families and support our service men and women, he was also able to meet with each family and hear their stories as they walked with him to the stage at each show.
“Each family had touching stories and made an indelible mark on me,” he said. “From the Delucia family’s amazing story of recovery and strength through physical injuries the first night in Tampa to the Connor family, who we surprised this past weekend at their new home with a puppy for their daughter Molly…I will never forget any of them. The need to take care of the men and women who fight and sacrifice so much for us is great, and this program is only making a dent. I definitely hope to do more down the road.”
After spending the summer selling out stadiums with his pal Kenny Chesney, Tim will turn his attention to his and wife Faith Hill’s limited engagement at The Venetian in Las Vegas. Soul2Soul at The Venetian kicks off December 7 with shows scheduled for 10 weekends through April 2013.
