Eli Young Band To Be Part of Nokia Music Launch Event

Eli Young Band will be part of an exclusive Nokia Music event in Nashville on Friday, October 19. Hosted by Billboard’s Ray Waddell, the event will take place at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and include an acoustic performance by the band and will benefit Musicians On Call which provides bedside music to patients. The band will spend part of the day at Tennessee Valley Healthcare System’s Nashville campus visiting Veteran patients and their families and playing music.

“Tennessee has always been home to country music’s finest, and we are delighted to have the Eli Young Band on board for the launch of Nokia Music in Nashville, in addition to supporting Musicians On Call,” Jyrki Rosenberg, VP of Entertainment at Nokia, said.  “We want to offer all our customers in Nashville a unique, mobile entertainment experience with our new free music service and are thrilled to be partnering with Billboard for this event.”

“The support from Nokia Music will allow us to keep providing live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in the health care facilities in Nashville,” Scott Welch, Chairman of the Board at Musicians On Call, said. “We look forward to continuing collaborations with them. Nokia Music offers playlists created by global artists such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Lana Del Ray. Music fans can create their own personal soundtrack by selecting the Nokia Music ‘CREATE’ function that generates a playlist based on, and inspired by, the artists they love.
