Little big Town has found itself nominated for three CMA Awards this year, including Vocal Group of the Year and Single and Video of the Year for their No 1 hit, “Pontoon.” While they’ve nominated for CMA Awards before, this is their first nomination for Single of the Year.

“We’ve been nominated for Group before, but never for that, a song performance,” Karen Fairchild said. “So, it’s just super cool. Who would’ve thought that ‘Motorboatin’’ would be up for Single of the Year, you know? But that’s how big an impact, I guess, it’s had with the fans and with people. People want to have a good time.”

When it comes to Vocal Group of the Year, they’ve got some stiff competition. Lady Antebellum, Eli Young Band, The Band Perry and Zac Brown Band are also up for the award.

“[We’re] so honored,” Karen said. “The Group of the Year category is fierce.” Bandmate Phillip Sweet agreed. “We’re so thrilled,” he said. “I mean, this is the best! [We’re] living on cloud nine.”

Little Big Town is set to perform on the CMA Awards, which air live from Nashville on ABC on November 1 at 8p|7c. Before they take the CMA stage though, they’ll perform on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars on October 30.
