Montgomery Gentry released their new digital EP Friends and Family on Tuesday. The EP includes their new single, “I’ll Keep The Kids.” Fans can download Friends and Family here.
Co-written by Eddie Montgomery, Ira Dean and Phil O’Donnell, “I’ll Keep The Kids” has been one of the most added songs at radio since its release. The song is also gaining rave reviews. “We haven’t had a song with this much emotion since ‘He Stopped Loving Her Today,’” said WCKN’s Chris O’Kelley.
“When I heard this song, I got excited and asked the staff to come listen, Mike Hammond of Knoxville’s WCYQ said. “We all agreed that this is a hit and put it on the air right away!” Mike Kennedy, VP programming Wilkes Broadcasting, agreed. “Heartfelt, sung with real emotion, great writing. This song hits hard and needs to be heard!!”
Friends & Family includes “I’ll Keep The Kids,” a remix of “Where I Come From” featuring Colt Ford, “Good Ol’ Boys (Dukes of Hazzard There Song)” from Waylon (the tribute album) and “Ain’t Out Of The Woods” from Colt Ford’s Declaration of Independence album.
