Pink Lady Truck Bringing Breast Cancer Awareness to York County

Piedmont Medical Center will welcome the Charlotte Fire Department’s Pink Lady fire truck to the Imaging Center at Baxter Village Friday.  The truck will be there from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. to help raise awareness about breast cancer in York County and surrounding areas.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  PMC is raising awareness through special events.  The Rock Hill hospital has an active breast cancer program year-round that encourages and reminds women to have their regular mammography screenings.  During Friday’s event,

there will be free blood pressure screenings and mammography scheduling.  There will also be a certified breast cancer nurse navigator at the event to answer questions about breast health.
