2012 Vernon Grant Christmas Card & Ornament Unveiled

The Culture and Heritage Museums of York County has unveiled this year’s version of the Vernon Grant Christmas ornament and card based on the work of the late Rock Hill artist.  This year’s ornament is called “Thumbs Up” and depicts Santa commending a carpenter gnome for his outstanding work.  The ornament is sponsored by OTS Media, the parent company of WRHI radio.  The card is called “Breakfast with Santa” and features a gnome enjoying breakfast his favorite character.  The card is sponsored by Angel Insurance and Financial Services and Nationwide Insurance.  WRHI managing partner Allan Miller says some of Grant’s artwork is 80 years old and is deteriorating.

The 2012 Vernon Grant ornament and Christmas card are being sold at the Museum Store in the Museum of York County.
