Emergency injunction from disqualified player dismissed

A federal judge in Charleston Wednesday denied the request for an emergency injunction against the South Carolina High School League after he said the proper papers were not served to all parties.

The case brought by disqualified Goose Creek Player Justice Rogers sought to place the order against the league arguing he should play under a 1973 disabilities law. Judge Weston Houck said the papers were not served to the league today, meaning the lawsuit could not be filed.

Rogers ineligibility and disqualified the nationally-ranked Gators from the playoffs.
