Jake Owen Celebrates Third Consecutive No. 1 Single

Jake Owen [2] is having a really good week. He and wife Lacey welcomed their first child [3], daughter Olive Pearl, on Thanksgiving and just a few days later, Jake scored his third consecutive No. 1 single with “The One That Got Away. It’s also the first No. 1 Jake has had as a songwriter.

“Didn’t think my world could get any better. Having a child and #1 song in the same week is something I’ll never forget. THANK YOU ALL! Wow,” Jake tweeted [5] after receiving word that his song had topped the charts.
“The One That Got Away” is a true story from Jake’s childhood summers in Florida. Co-written by Jake, Jimmy Ritchey and Dallas Davidson, the song is from Jake’s Barefoot Blue Jean Night album. Jake will perform the song on American Country Awards [6] airing live on FOX on Monday, December 10 at 8p|7c. Jake is also nominated for four of the fan-voted awards.
