Mulvaney elected to a second term in Congress

Andrew Kiel [1] | WRHI.comKnott, who worked on the campaign of former longtime Congressman John Spratt, declared for the race after a lack of democratic candidates surfaced to run.
Mulvaney says Knott brought a new voice to needs of South Carolina’s 5th Congressional District.

Mulvaney, who spent a good portion of his time outside of Washington meeting with constituents across the district, says he gained a good idea of what voters want to see in their elected officials.

Mulvaney says that he still faces an uphill challenge in Washington — from his own colleagues.

With 7 of 11 counties reporting, Mulvaney led the race with more than 86-thousand votes.
