Rock Hill unveils new Saluda Street ‘gateway’

For years, road improvements on the south side of Rock Hill have slowly revitalized Saluda Street and Mount Holly Road, but Monday, city officials announced a new ‘gateway’ to the city from the southern corridor to York County.

Funding for the project comes from SCDOT Transportation Enhancement Porgram grants. The total cost of the project is about $187,000. Rock Hill Mayor Doug Echols hopes this project will spark community pride — and later — economic development.
