Tim McGraw and Faith Hill opened their intimate ‘Soul2Soul’ show at the Venetian in Las Vegas this weekend. The pair made good on their promise to deliver a ‘personal’ show, performing without over the top stage theatrics while putting their love for one another front and center, reports the Las Vegas Sun. The pair hugged, held hands and even kissed while onstage.
The couple entered the show separately at the back of the theater, singing while greeting fans as they made their way to the stage. Tim and Faith each performed their own hits separately but also came together to sing several songs including their hits “It’s Your Love” and “I Need You.”
At one point, they sat down for a Q&A session of sorts. While they didn’t take questions from the audience, they did answer some of the more frequently asked questions they receive, including who they consider a musical influence. To answer that question, they sang several of their all-time favorite songs from the likes of The Eagles and Aretha Franklin.
The couple wrapped the show seated in two chairs, one mic between them as they sang “I Need You” with eyes only for the other, hands resting on one another’s knees. They exited the stage together, hand and hand, beginning and ending the show together and showing they are just as in love now as they’ve ever been.
In the middle of the show, Tim gave away a guitar to a small girl named Skyler who was sitting in the front row. As for Faith, she had five costume changes throughout the 90 minute performance. They have nine more weekends at The Venetian scheduled through April 2013.
