First responders prepare for Winter weather

Winter weather is expected to make its way through the upstate tonight, with a good chance of snowfall overnight.

All the while, first responders are working behind the scenes to keep you safe Piedmont Medical Center EMS Director Steve Cotter says whether or not you drive your car Friday, the best thing you can do to protect yourself is slow down.

Cotter said Thursday afternoon that inclement weather plans were activated as soon as the forecasts were published.

Cotter says Friday may very well be a great day to have inclement weather as all four York County School Districts are holding a teacher workday — meaning thousands of students will not be headed to school.
