Lady Antebellum scored the highest chart debut of their seven-year career with the release of their new single, “Downtown,” the lead single from their upcoming album, on January 28. 109 radio stations added the song, putting them at No. 25 on the Billboard charts and No. 34 on Mediabase charts.

“We really wanted to come out of the box on this album with some tempo and something with a little attitude,” Charles Kelley said. “There are a lot of really driving sounds on the new record, and we’re excited for everyone to hear what we’ve been working on. We are calling it our roll down the windows record.  All the support we’re getting from our friends at radio is firing us up!”

“Everyone at the label is as excited as our friends at country radio are about ‘Downtown’ and brand new music from Lady A,” SVP/Promotion Steve Hodges said. “As we go into CRS, the ACM Awards and other events this Spring, we will be putting together some really special plans to introduce this incredible new music to the world.”

Lady Antebellum made the live debut of “Downtown” with a performance on NBC’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. Listen to “Downtown” here.
